The School Education Department issue an order to all the private school to not forcing the parents to purchase allied school items from designated vendors are school. The order No.SO(A-1)1-31/2022 on dated 8th April 2025. The School Education Department has received complaints that certain private schools are forcing parents and students to purchase uniforms, books, stationery, and other academic materials exclusively from the school or designated vendors at excessively high prices. This practice is unacceptable and violates the principles of fair access to education. All private schools are strictly warned to immediately stop compelling students or parents to buy items from specific sources. Schools must provide open and transparent lists of required items without associating them with any particular shop or vendor. Any institution found involved in such practices will face strict legal action under the Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotion and Regulation) Ordinance, which may include heavy fines, suspension of registration, or permanent closure.

District Education Authorities (DEAS) are hereby directed to ensure strict monitoring and to take immediate action on any such complaints.
